🖐️🫵 Get Your Fingers Into It!
Typically, in this section, I delve into emerging areas of interest or conflicts, either in the business use or legal ramifications of generative AI. Today, however, I want to ask you a simple question:
Have you put your fingers on the keyboard today to prompt generative AI?
If you haven't, you need to start now. Engaging with this technology hands-on is crucial for unlocking its creative and pragmatic potential. Simple trial and error, working through it directly, is far more effective than reading about it, attending talks, or undergoing AI training. You need to actively use the tools—whether typing prompts or utilizing voice capabilities.
So, if you haven't yet, go do it. Keep doing it day after day. If you're still unsure about how to use generative AI, daily practice will significantly reduce your confusion within just a week. I guarantee it!

👷♂️👀 Quick Claude Artifacts Use Case
Today, I want to show you a cool and simple use case for Anthropic's Claude 3.5 model and its incredible ability to generate dynamic graphics and other elements.
In the short video below, I demonstrate how a simple prompt can create a sophisticated simulation illustrating the interaction between worked hours, billing realization, and collective realization in the context of law firm finance.
This concept can be challenging for many lawyers and law students to grasp. As an educator, I constantly seek ways to bring static slides to life and make these concepts more tangible. This example took me just 30 seconds with a basic prompt, and the results are impressive. Claude doesn’t just generate text; it creates a working simulation that can transform how we approach learning and teaching complex subjects.
Imagine the possibilities! Think beyond traditional text-based prompts. How might you leverage these tools to develop interactive learning aids or other engaging elements? If you click on the Google Vids link later below, you will see another tool coming online that will change the game in terms of using slides.
Ok, here is the video. I hope this sparks your creativity.
AI Model Notables
► OpenAI working on new reasoning technology under code name ‘Strawberry’ that will be capable of planning ahead, based on prompts and responses, to navigate the internet autonomously and reliably to perform what OpenAI terms “deep research.”
Reminder, OpenAI has shared its rudimentary scale of AI development milestones:
Level 1: Chatbots, AI with conversational language (where most are)
Level 2: Reasoners, human-level problem solving (some are here)
Level 3: Agents, systems that can take actions (likely soon)
Level 4: Innovators, AI that can aid intervention (unknown)
Level 5: Organizations, AI that can do the work of an organization (scary)
► IP Licensing startup created a tool that tracks when a creator’s work is used on the internet for AI or other purposes, giving the creator the power to revoke usage.
► Amazon’s AI, “Rufus” is now available to all U.S. customers in the Amazon Shopping app.
► Google drops Vids which allows users to drop docs, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings into a timeline to create a presentation video to share with coworkers. Its pretty slick!
► Anthropic has doubled the max output token limit for Claude 3.5 Sonnet from 4096 to 8192 in the Anthropic API. A much-needed upgrade for longer output use cases. This is a beta feature only in API and console but with Anthropic’s current shipping speed, expect it to come to claude.ai soon.
► The Claude Android app is now available. Download on Google Play: http://anthropic.com/android
► Amazon says it’s time to align on global responsible AI policies to secure US economic prosperity and security.
