Brainyacts #169

It’s Tuesday. 69% of people reported receiving more interest and better responses using AI-generated content than when they drafted or used their own original content for their dating profiles. And since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day here in the US (many call it a fake holiday), we shouldn’t be shocked to learn that 45% of all US men will use AI to write love messages this Valentine’s Day. This is according to McAfee Research.

Let’s dig in!

In today’s Brainyacts:

  1. AI in the M&A Process

Lead Memo

⚙️🏧 AI in the M&A Process

Bain & Company recently polled more than 300 M&A practitioners about their views on using generative AI in their M&A processes

  • Generative AI use for M&A deal processes is low at 16% today, but it is expected to reach 80% over the next three years.

  • Early adopters are using generative AI primarily to identify targets or conduct document review, and they are seeing benefits.

  • 85% of current users indicated that generative AI met or exceeded their expectations.

  • The biggest challenge for practitioners will be determining how to use generative AI to create a differentiated advantage.

🤯🤯 NVIDIA (AI chip maker) drops bomb with release of Chat with RTX

Chat with RTX lets you create a custom GPT chatbot trained on your own local data - documents, videos, everything. You do need specific types of equipment for now (e.g., PC only with certain chips). Read more here.

Regardless, with this development, the current cloud-based models of OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft will be challenged. Will every consumer want their own local chatbot? If it is easy to use, yes? Don’t forget Microsoft plans on adding an AI button to the keyboard of its future models but we don’t yet know if Copilot will ever be able to run locally versus being connected to the internet.

Nevertheless, developments like these are the start of some new branch in the ongoing development of AI usability.

This is massive because it runs fully offline on your personal Windows PC, unlike many of the leading cloud-based AI models. This localized approach is a game-changer

  • You can customize the AI to your business by training it on your documents, videos, and all your other data.

  • Chat with RTX supports .txt, .pdf, .doc, .docx and .xml

  • This allows for incredibly relevant assistance in searching/summarizing your material and creating new content.

  • All your data remains fully secure on your local machine — no need to upload sensitive information to external servers.

  • With RTX acceleration, you get super-fast chat outputs without needing internet access.

  • Uninterrupted productivity as you roam internet-free.

  • Since Chat with RTX runs offline on your personal Windows PC, you can iteratively improve it over time by further personalizing it to your ever-evolving workflow.
