The Rise of AI Browsers
In todayās world, where AI is king, our good old internet browsers are facing a real challenge. Itās not just a simple update weāre talking about here; itās a whole new game. Think of AI-powered browsers as the new kids on the block, shaking up the way weāve always searched the web.
Letās face it, traditional search engines like Google were sort of like librarians of the internet. They helped us find stuff, but there was a catch. They were also kind of selling our attention to advertisers. So, while we thought we were getting personalized service, it was more about showing us ads than really helping us out.
The AI Revolution in Browsers
Now, AI browsers are stepping up, and theyāre changing the rules.
Googleās Bard: Friend or Foe? Google's Bard is this new tool thatās supposed to make searching smarter. But we have to ask ourselves: Is it really about giving us better answers, or is there more to it?
Microsoft's Copilot in Edge: A New Way to Browse? Microsoft has put Copilot into its Edge browser, promising us a way to have a chat with our searches. It sounds cool, but is it really a game-changer, or just a way to keep us hooked on Microsoft stuff?
The Copilot Keyboard Button: Handy or Sneaky? This new button on Microsoft keyboards for Copilot seems convenient. But it also makes you wonder if weāre getting too tied to just one companyās way of doing things.
Itās not just the big names in the game. New companies like Perplexity are coming in, trying to give us a fresh take on searching the web. This could be our ticket to breaking free from the usual giants.
The Charm of AI Browsers AI browsers promise us an easy, chat-like search experience. But thereās a big question hanging in the air: Are we heading towards a smarter way of finding information, or just getting stuck in our own little bubbles even more?
The Challenges Ahead Sure, AI browsers sound great, but theyāve got their own set of problems. Weāve got to think about privacy, whether we can trust the answers they give us, and if theyāre just going to make our echo chambers even āecho-ier.ā
At a Turning Point So, as we might be saying goodbye to the days of āJust Google It,ā weāre at a crossroads. Are AI browsers going to be our guides to a better, smarter web, or are we walking into a world where our searches are just echoes of what we want to hear? The decisions we make now will shape how we surf the web in the future.
Oh, and most search browsers have been free (in terms of no subscriptions). We are seeing that some of the AI browsers tools will offer fee-based access. Might this thwart privacy concerns or only add a new revenue column to balance sheets? We shall see.

š„© š„ Roast this Bold Lawyer
It takes courage to put yourself out into the public these days. So when a lawyer makes a concerted effort to build and launch their own content channel/biz, I must celebrate them.

Why Roast Kevin?
First, what is a roast? Usually, it means teasing someone in a good-natured way. But in business, it means giving critical unvarnished feedback to help them improve and grow! That is what I invite you to do here.
Great, So Why Roast Kevin?
Learning and development in legal are broken. You know this. I know this. I have been in this arena for years now and have worked tirelessly to improve it. Kevin is working on it too. We all have something to gain to bring legal learning and development into the modern era.
