As users of search engines and generative AI tools, we are essentially the product these companies rely on to sell ads. With the advent of AI chatbot search products, how advertisers approach ad placement and search engine optimization is also changing. A new concept, Prompt Engine Optimization (PEO), is emerging as the next frontier for internet companies to place ads within chat responses, much like the traditional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for text-based search results.

Google’s efforts to develop a new AI-powered search engine and introduce additional AI features through its "Magi" project reflect the company's attempt to maintain its market position amid growing competition from Microsoft's AI-powered Bing and potential revenue losses from Samsung's switch to Bing as its default search engine. First, the Bonus Hack. Here is a video of it. Now, there are ChatGPT apps that do this but why not use free stuff - and it was really fast and easy.

Now the Prompt Tips:

Sometimes I overcomplicate my prompts. I am trying to test things and try out new approaches. Plus OpenAI keeps changing things on the back-end so getting consistent replies keeps getting more challenging.

That is why it is helpful to just return to the basics from time to time and be a bit more straightforward.

Tip #1: Ask ChatGPT for help with your prompt

To get decent results from ChatGPT, start with something like this:

▶︎▶︎ PROMPT: I'm planning on giving you the following prompt: [enter the prompt]. What details do I need to provide you to make sure your prompt is excellent and succinct?

Tip #2: Generating a prompt

If you cannot even think of a prompt, use the following one:

Tip #3: Refining the response

Not all responses are created equal. ChatGPT varies in its quality and consistency of responses. Plus, as I said before, OpenAI keeps adjusting the model. So when you get a response that leaves you wanting more, don’t start from scratch right away - just refine it a bit.

What does it do: Uses AI to create your slides and decks for you with a boatload of other features

My take: This is a great tool to get you off go and for those that tremble when they think of having to create a deck. Decktopus is a fully featured design palette so you can use it like PowerPoint or Google Slides - with many added bonuses like having AI generate the design and contents.

For expert designers, this is likely not the tool for you.
