Last week I did some quick research and thinking on how lawyers who want to specialize in a certain area related to generative AI.
It’s a lot. It’s vast. And it is opportunity. It’s likely incomplete!
To compliment that for all my readers in the US and outside the US, here is a graph that shows the proliferation or laws related to AI.
The point of this is simple. Riches are in the niches.
This ever-evolving legal landscape offers unparalleled opportunities for savvy lawyers who dive into the uncharted waters of niche legal expertise."
Key Ideas:
The rapid advancement of AI and emerging policy changes will create demand for specialized legal knowledge, enabling lawyers to establish themselves as experts in niche areas and capitalize on these high-value opportunities.
As policies and laws surrounding AI development continue to evolve, lawyers with a deep understanding of the intricacies existing and developing laws and policies will be well-positioned to offer their clients cutting-edge legal guidance.
The complex interplay between AI and areas such as election laws, employment and labor laws, and free speech rights will require lawyers to develop innovative strategies and solutions, distinguishing themselves as thought leaders and ensuring their long-term success in the field.

📧 📬 A Reader Writes In
Yesterday I shared how GPT-4 can self-reflect and “learn.” Based on that, a wicked smart Brainyacts reader sent me a note worth sharing with you all. Apparently they have been testing this self-reflection capability too and have found it to be true.
The big takeaway here is this: we know GPT (3.5 & 4) can hallucinate or fabricate things. But if we push it, challenge it, or ask it to verify its responses it seems like there is a high likelihood it will call itself out.
Perhaps not the most efficient task but this is quickly becoming a best practice of mine.
Keep sharing (that goes for all readers please)!

In the coming month, we will be using Bing Chat to further explore the possibilities of generative AI. So, it's time to dust off your Microsoft accounts and get ready to dive into the world of Bing Chat.
So, what exactly is Bing Chat?
In a nutshell, it's Microsoft's own AI chatbot that can do some pretty amazing things. Similar to ChatGPT, Bing Chat can generate text, write code, answer complex questions, and hold a conversation with follow-up questions. But what sets Bing Chat apart is its integration with Microsoft's search engine, allowing it to search the web for recent information and process it into several formats, including comparison tables. It also uses GPT-4, which is what the paid version of ChatGPT gets you.
To access Bing Chat, simply visit bing.com with the Microsoft Edge web browser, sign in with your Microsoft account, and click "Chat" at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can click the search box within Windows 11, and access Bing Chat and Bing from the Bing icon to the upper right.
Please note that Bing Chat was previously only available via a waitlist, but it can now be accessed widely through bing.com/new. So, before you start using it, make sure you download the latest version of Microsoft Edge. With that out of the way, you can start exploring the endless possibilities of Bing Chat's generative AI capabilities.
News you can Use:
A novice creates sophisticated data-mining malware using ChatGPT in just a few hours, raising concerns over the chatbot's safety.
Aaron Mulgrew, a security researcher, bypassed ChatGPT's protections and generated a highly advanced, undetectable malware by prompting separate lines of code.
The malware, disguised as a screensaver app, uses steganography to hide stolen data in images, then uploads them to Google Drive, evading detection.
After refining the code using ChatGPT, the malware was not detected by any of the 69 tested detection products.
This demonstrates how easily accessible AI tools like ChatGPT can be exploited to create advanced cyber threats, emphasizing the importance of robust security measures and ethical AI usage.
